Premier League Preview 2023/24: Chelsea

YUP Nuff Said

This club has changed player and management personnel so many times in the Todd Boehly era so far that it is hard to keep up at times. The official websites tell us that Mauricio Pochettino is manging Chelsea this season although how long for? Many thought Tuchel was doing an ok job when he got sacked out of nowhere, Pochettino can’t be going into this season fearing the same, he has bigger things to worry about. He is a quality manager who did good things last time he was in the Premier League with Tottenham. Can he go to the next level this time around. Chelsea have added a couple of exciting young forwards to their squad so far this transfer window with Christopher Nkunku (£52m) and Nicolas Jackson (£32m) joining from RB Leipzig and Villareal respectively. The former of those, Frenchman Nkunku, looks to be a quality signing after scoring 58 Bundesliga goals in the last 2 seasons. Along with young Enzo Fernandez in the midfield they have two potentially world class performers through the middle of the paddock. The makeup of the rest of the squad remains uncertain with as many as 10 of last season’s first team players having already left the club with few transfers finalized to date to replace them. The last weeks of this transfer window could potentially determine their season.
